Types are like categories. A way to organize a collection of actions in ways that best suit how you want to see them. For example you can create a "Communication" type to list your upcoming actions using text, email or other forms of communication.
Types are optional. When used you can tap the Type button to show a menu that allows you to select actions with no Types, actions with Types or all Actions. A quick way to go between a simple list and a more comprehensive method to manage your time.
To create a Type go to the Type menu. Here to can create, rename or delete a type. To rename a type enter the name in the replacement name box. Then tap or slide the Type name you wish to replace. To delete a Type name slide the name to the left and tap delete. When a type is deleted the actions that use that type remain with no Type.
You can set up an action that repeats. When you mark it complete it autgenerates the next action. If you need to go back and modify the name or add to the notes simply uncheck the action to make it active. When editing the action the date field will not be available to avoid conflict with the newly generated action.
Action list description row has three colors:
> gray - denotes a completed action
> teal - denotes an action not assigned to a type
> black/white - default
Action list date row has two colors:
> red - denotes the action is past due
> black/white - default
Type button has two colors:
> yellow - denotes actions are shown or "no Type" only
> black/white - default
Exclude button has two colors:
> black/white - denotes at least one Type has been excluded
> teal - default
This button is available when using Types. It allows you to exclude Types you may not want to focus on. An example is you may have Types that relate to your work life that you could exclude while on vacation. Yet another example is one where you capture all birthdays under a Birthday Type. If you wanted to see all birthdays and nothing else select all dates and exclude all Types except Birthdays. The Exclude button will change color to warn you that you have actions that are unseen.
